Our Book Fair 'model' is fairly simple: For every $100.00 in retail sales at your fair, the school gets a free book. Softcover or hardcover; school’s choice.

  • No minimums

  • No percentages

  • No flowcharts & mathematical equations required for Fox Pointe to do a book fair at your location

Book Fairs should be set for a date at least one month, in advance, in order to get the message out to everyone that this event is coming to town.

We've found that 2pm through 6pm are good hours and we'd be there an hour early to set up. We can also do multiple days if your school would be running this event in conjunction to Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Everyone loves JELLYBEANS!

Or... if you're interested in a virtual book fair, we can do one of those, too. Our book previews can be seen on our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkuEOJAoarhwSwGAHGsnvQQ Anything with a book cover is a 'flip-through' of the book. I will say, though, an in-person event - where the potential customer can have the book in their hands - that's when you get the most sales which results in the most books for the school.

School Book Fairs

After a date is set, we'll send out a personalized pdf announcing your event. This can be used for flyers around the school and town/city you live in, make copies and send home with the kids, use it for a community announcement with the local newspaper and/or Chamber of Commerce. If you have towns close to you that are part of the same district, I would suggest posting in banks, cafes, churches, car repair shops, hair salons, etc.

On this flyer, we state our simple model of the $100 in retail = one new book for the school and/or classrooms. We also include the fact that our books cannot be found in national chains - we only work with independent retailers, schools, libraries, etc. So, if they're interested in a book, your book fair is the place to get it and they'll be supporting the local school district. (We bring in all of our books - all ages in a variety of genres to choose from.)

I will add, we're in Austin, MN. If you're located within 100 miles of Austin, we won't worry about mileage or hotels. Anything beyond that, nominal travel expenses will be determined.

Fox Pointe Publishing will have a handful of each title at your event. Anything we run out of (sell more than what is along for the ride - the car is only so big) during the event, we'll ship to the school after the event, and those books can be distributed as you see fit. Schools and libraries don't pay shipping costs.

As of December 2022, Fox Pointe has 76 active titles. We tend to publish two to three new titles per month between February through October. We have books for all ages in various genres; plenty of titles to choose from.
